Christians Don’t Have A Right To Be Offended

Earlier this morning I sent a few sisters a Scripture from the Holman Christian Standard Bible:

Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your instruction; nothing makes them stumble. (‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭165‬)

Later on, I decided to read from this devotional I’ve had for years, but never finished, and just started reading again a few days ago. And wouldn’t you know, Psalms 119:165 is today’s verse, but in the King James Version:

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. (‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭165‬ KJV)

The author of the devotional writes about how much better we take it if a friend or stranger criticizes us, but if our husbands mention any slight imperfection, or wound us, or try to iron-sharpen-iron us we get very hurt and offended. Then she says this profound little nugget of truth:

We who have been forgiven by a holy God have no right to be offended. The only “right” we have is to share the grace God has given us with others. Where grace enters, peace abounds.-To Love And To Cherish

I thought that was a great application for us to give grace to our husbands, but also to anyone who offends us. I didn’t contemplate that when we are offended, it’s actually our pride.

“How dare you. Who do you think you are?” More like, “Who do I think I am?”

I’ve been guilty of getting offended, but I never stopped and considered, “I’m upset not just because of her words, but because of my own pride.”

As Christians, we don’t have a right to be offended.

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish, is not provoked, and does not keep a record of wrongs. (1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4-5‬ HCSB)

Jesus commands us to love our enemies and bless those who curse us. Nowhere does Jesus give us a concession to be bitter against another soul. In fact, if we hate someone, we are called murderers, and as the Apostle John wrote, no murderer has eternal life in his heart.

I read a book called Murder By Family, a true story of how the oldest son of a family plotted their murder. Both the mother and younger brother lost their lives, but the father (and obviously the oldest brother) lived. The father said as he was laying on the hospital bed, the Holy Spirit told him to forgive the murderer and he did. His son wasn’t the one who pulled the trigger, but he helped the killer (his college friend), get into the home and both were put on death row. The father had every right to be hurt and upset, but he wasn’t allowed to commit murder in his heart against his wife and son’s killers. Yahweh dealt with both of them, and it wasn’t the father’s job or place to render vengeance.

I know vengeance is an extremely popular theme in films nowadays, but Christ doesn’t condone His children avenging themselves. He is our Avenger. All those who have rejected Him and practice evil will be judged. No one is getting away with anything—unless they have accepted Yahweh’s plan of forgiveness and surrendered to Christ.

Let’s not forget that at one point, we also were enemies of Christ:

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler who exercises authority over the lower heavens, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! (‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭1-5‬ HCSB)

So just as we didn’t deserve Yahweh’s grace, yet He granted it to us anyway, we must likewise give grace to our enemies and those who offend us.

Why do you think Christ said, “If anyone wants to follow Me he must pick up his cross, deny Himself and follow Me.” We as Christians deny our old ways of operating; we crucify them and walk in the new way of life, the way Christ commands us to. Out of love for Him, we obey His words. He alone is worthy of anything good, and deserves our complete devotion for all that He willingly suffered and gave up so that we can be forgiven, freed, redeemed and saved.

Let go, love, and let Christ be your Avenger.

Abortions Galore Because The Government Loves Women Soooo Much

Who in the blazes does this government think they are!? To try and force people to financially support the vile act of abortion, to institute such lawless evil and enforce it upon those with a moral conscience toward God Almighty? Does not the Declaration of Independence say EVERYONE has a right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Everyone but innocent children in their mother’s womb of course. At conception, there’s human DNA yet many lie and says it’s merely a clump of tissue. They MUST lie in order to ease their conscience from the heinous act of murdering an innocent life, literally tearing its limbs apart by use of metal sticks, scrambling the baby to pieces as its heart-rate climbs in fear and pain. But no, we must not let the mother’s know what we are doing, so when we yank out the tiny decapitated head we will call it “number 1.”

Look this up, these are facts friends. The abortion industry BANKS so the government in their greed wants more and more and more of it. They can care less that abortion doubles a woman’s chances of getting breast cancer and then triples and continues to increase the chances after multiple abortions. They don’t care that many women have nightmares afterwards and that suicide rates go up for women after they’ve aborted. They don’t want women to know about FREE PREGNANCY CENTERS that help women with unplanned pregnancy, paying for all their prenatal visits and then help them find a loving adoptive family to take their child when he or she is born.

No. They don’t want women to know that because they do not CARE about women or children, they only care about their bank account!

Shut Up And Let Us Kill And Do Whatever Else We Want

If the majority wants the right to murder their helpless children in their womb we should let them because well, they’re the majority, right? If the majority decides they don’t want to buy property anymore, but take homes they like by force, we should let them because they’re the majority, right? If the majority wants to legalize rape, we should legalize rape because the supposed majority wants it, right? Otherwise, we are forcing our moralism on them. Oh, but actually, if we do legalize what they want, they are forcing their lack of moralism on us.

Should we accept their violence, to ours and many people’s destruction? Or should we stand against sin and evil for the sake of the people, and by prayer and civil action, not permit such violence to be enacted on the basis of preserving life?

Chaos happens when evil laws are passed and God’s law is shunned. And this nation and our president, and many American politicians, to our shame and embarrassment, are doing this very thing: passing evil laws and trying to silence those who oppose them.

And we think God does not see? We should be terrified of His righteous judgement on a land that so spitefully rejects and fights against His laws and in pride justifies its treachery and lawlessness with meaningless ideologies of relativism and evolution. Why? Because we want to do what we want without fear of judgement. Deep down we know we are wrong but we silence our consciences by choosing to deceive ourselves with the teachings we like, the ones that don’t condemn our sins, but applaud them, until finally we believe them and have completely crucified our consciences.

Now, we think we are free, but really, we are a slave to the sin we have allowed to rule us, instead of letting the truth and reality of who Jesus Christ is to free us from the power of our evil desires that we may live righteously and truly love others, not just accept and tolerate them.

I love God and the homosexual so I speak against their destructive lifestyle. Not because I’m on a high-horse of self-righteousness but because I know God is love, yet He is also just, and cannot go back on His Word. If He condemns an act that can be forgivable, such as homosexuality, theft, lying, lust, adultery, premarital sex, and even murder, I would be hateful to just shut my mouth and let those indulging in such sins stroll blindly into hell. Because I would rather speak the truth in love, though it may hurt their pride or cause a brief pain when they realize they must separate themselves from that sin, than let them be deceived, or cheer them onto the path of destruction.

God loves us so He tells us the truth, plain and clear. He doesn’t blur the lines and confuse us with gray areas. He labels sin that we might repent of it and receive eternal life with Him. He gave His only perfect Son to die a gruesome death—the death we all deserved—because of our sins. Jesus, the Son of God, defeated sin and death by living a perfect sinless life and then rising from the grave the third day. And He promises that those who trust in Him and give their hearts to Him can likewise conquer sin and death. God “kills your party” to protect your body and soul that you may be able to join Him at His celebration in eternal paradise, where joy is not a fleeting drug or orgasm, but is being in the midst of love Himself for all eternity where He wipes away every tear, and where no more pain or evil exists. A place of true peace, the kind we hope for on this earth but will never have until Christ returns and once for all destroys satan and those who follow him, and Jesus who is Love and Truth rules over and cares for every soul who has chosen to be His and to follow Him.

You may not have tomorrow, so why not choose Life today. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one gets to the Father except by Me.”

I pray your eyes are opened to what matters, that you set your mind on heaven, not earth, on life, not death. Jesus is the Best Person that has ever happened to me, and He offers Himself to anyone who is willing. You can ask Him yourself. You don’t need to go to a church building, or a pastor, to encounter Jesus. He is the only Mediator between God and man, and you can go directly to Him to have your sins forgiven, your slate made clean, and your heart transformed by the indwelling of His most powerful Holy Spirit. Please choose life today!

80% of the church is having premarital sex???

80% of the church between the ages of 18-29 are having premarital sex. WHAT? This should rip our hearts from our chests and make us ashamed and broken before the Lord, our good and perfect Father.

How can we commit our past sins—the ones that Jesus was beaten and crucified for? Have we no love for He who loved us to the point of pouring out His very blood in our rightful place? How can we take these temples—our bodies—and use them as weapons of unrighteousness? Do you not know when you sin, your actions are aimed at the very heart that was pierced for you and pierces it again?

He died to give you power over sin, to practice self-control, which is a fruit of His Holy Spirit that should be living inside of you if you truly did give your heart to Him. Church, we should be angry over this, beating our chests and weeping with shame for the disgrace we’ve caused our Father and Master.

And let us not, I repeat, let us not be deceived into thinking we can so offer up our bodies to the temple of sexual immorality and still expect to receive heaven—which is being with Jesus for all eternity.

If even you couldn’t bear the thought of standing before the Holy, Perfect Son of God for all eternity knowing you chose to sin against Him and have sex outside of the sanctity of marriage, what makes you think He will be able to bear it? “You must be holy,” He commands, “as I am holy.” To believe otherwise is to believe a lie for the sake of fulfilling our own sinful desires in a feeble attempt to trick ourselves into thinking since we appear holy on the outside, God will let us in on the day we face Him for judgement.

Be broken! Repent! Only then shall your souls be truly saved. I speak this from love. I tell you the truth, unlike the world who is under the influence of Satan himself.

If anyone says they’re a Christian, but practices sexually immorality, they are in danger of forfeiting the kingdom of heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). But thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord, as long as we have breath we can forsake these sins and give our lives to Him. When we truly see how horribly offensive these crimes are to His Holy Spirit and we grieve over them, crying out to Him for mercy and forgiveness, then will He renew our Spirits and give us a heart that seeks to please Him, a heart with new desires. Run from your sin. Your very soul depends on it!

Let Jesus Save You From Your Whack Boyfriend

Jesus isn’t trying to rain on your parade; He simply desires to protect you from the storms that come from disobedience.

God is Love. Every single thing He does and says is good because He is Love. When He commands you not to be with an unbeliever (2 Corinthians 6:14-18), He commands it from love. He knows every outcome, and desires to spare you from that so you won’t die. Sin, which is disobedience to God, ends in death.

When your heart is broken by this man, you may despair, or become bitter, and then never come back to the arms of True Love because you don’t believe a real, pure love exists. Or you get so caught up in the emotions of fake love (infatuation) that you’re distracted from the all-amazing, all-consuming Real Love; Jesus Himself.

If a man isn’t pointing you to Christ, chances are, although he genuinely may not know it, he’s pointing you to himself and ultimately, to Satan. You might’ve gasped right now, but please allow me to explain.

All sin is rebellion against God. Satan rebelled against God, and the Bible says he was cast out of heaven and into earth. Paul writes to the Ephesians:

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:1, 2)

So Satan is at work in the lives of those who are in disobedience to God. It’s very serious because Jesus taught that the enemy is the father of all lies, and that he comes to kill, steal, and destroy.

When you’re with someone under that influence, they may not literally murder you one day, but what you have is a lie. It’s not real love because God is Love and one cannot give true love, Jesus’ love, unless he has Jesus. All he can give is a counterfeit version of love, a worldly version which focuses on personality compatibility, physical attraction, and sexual gratification.

Whereas, when a man who has, knows, and loves Jesus loves you, he loves you with patience (he’ll wait for you till marriage and want what’s best for you), he will love you with kindness: he won’t put you down, he’ll build you up (please don’t confuse kindness with charm which is deceptive. Charm is seductive, flattery). When a man who is a true disciple of Jesus loves you, he will not look out for his own interests, but truly sacrifice for your best interest. He doesn’t boast in himself or his accomplishments, he boasts in who Jesus is. He doesn’t envy anyone, he doesn’t spend himself on trying to get fame, a title, or recognition. He is completely content and satisfied with whatever he has because he knows Christ is more than enough. He is not conceited, but humble. He will not applaud wickedness, rejoicing when others do sinful things, but he will rejoice when the Truth of Christ wins out.

My dear sisters, please deeply consider your relationship. If you know this man doesn’t love Jesus, how can he truly love you? I fear for you, that you will miss out on true love because you’re so distracted and trapped by the counterfeit love, and would even forfeit your soul for this fake love, choosing to continue in it rather than forsake it and run into the arms of Love Himself.

Love isn’t a feeling. It’s a person, and that person is Jesus. Anyone who does not have Him, loves you in a worldly, sensual way that is pleasing to the senses, but not satisfying to the spirit. Why? Because it is an earthly love, not a perfect heavenly love. Why would you compromise a divine, true love for a worldly lie?

I pray that you forsake all lies in your life and run to Truth, run to Love.

Run to Jesus.
